Optimizing hormone levels improves energy, enhances sex drive, protects from bone loss, improves cardiovascular health, and helps you lose body fat.
At Elite Medspa we use Biote pellets, which are the size of a grain of rice, inserted subcutaneously under the skin. Typically, a small pinch when the needle is inserted to numb the area is the only discomfort felt. We use all comfort measures to make your experience pain-free. There may be some soreness and/or discomfort around the site of the pellet for several days post-treatment.
The pellet will slowly dissolve over time as it delivers steady levels of hormones. For women, it is approximately 3-4 months, while for men it lasts approximately 5-6 months. Treatment should be repeated for as long as you want to continue to optimize your health and wellness.
The pellet may be felt under the skin for several days after the insertion, which is typically due to swelling, but on rare occasions, may be felt longer. It is important to follow the post-care guidelines given to you at your procedure to limit swelling and promote healing.
You will need to avoid getting the incision site wet for several days (women 3-4 days, men 7 days) as well as avoiding major exercise for several days (women 3-4 days, men 7 days). Day-to-day activities can resume as normal.
